Love.
Wrong.
Your definition of marriage is not marriage, but rather a government intrusion in to a place it doesn’t belong.
for fuck’s sake. it is a marriage. it’s two people of the same sex wanting marry each other and if we need the government to ‘intrude’ so that they can achieve this then so be it.
WRONG. Here’s a better idea: The government should stay out of marriage COMPLETELY. I don’t just want gay people not to be able to get a marriage license, I don’t want ANYONE to HAVE TO get a marriage license. It’s stupid that the government get’s to intrude on the religious institution of marriage. If some churches and institutions want to honor a marriage ceremony between a man and a woman, a man and a man, a cow and a horse, whatever, I don’t really care. But NO ONE should be FORCED to honor it. That’s not what freedom is. The government doesn’t get to force people to accept everything and everyone, it’s only supposed to PROTECT its citizens from harm. Can a pastor of a church burn down someone’s house because they’re gay? Absolutely not. Should he be forced to preform a marriage ceremony for them or get sued if he doesn’t? Absolutely not. You guys act like making it the governments job to enforce “acceptance” would be such a great thing.
I have honestly never heard this issue described like this^^…. I like it!
